"Let them praise His name with dancing." Psalm 149:3

Sherma Henry, Director

The Miracle Temple Total Praiz Dance Ministry

Dancing A New Christ Experience through Revelation

The word of God says let everything that has breath praise Him. So as a result, the Miracle Temple Praise Dancers' mission and purpose is to praise the Lord and to interpret the scriptures through creative movements. Our goal is to reach others for Christ through our expressive movements.

Ishara Bernard, Sherma Henry, Kolitta Reed, Damora Jones, and Jaime Durant

Adults  -- Every Sunday at 10 a.m
Juniors -- Every Sunday at 12 p.m.

Everyone is invited to participate. We are looking forward to dance during Praise and Worship at least once per month

Some people are opposed to dance because they associate it with secular dancing such as "unholy" "grinding" "dirty dancing” However, the dance belongs to God and is being restored back into the Body of Christ, where it belongs. God is the one who turns our despair into dancing. (Psalm 30:11) He is the one who, as Jeremiah prophesied, calls us to take up our tambourines and "go forth in the dance of the merrymakers." (Jeremiah 31:4)

Acts 2:17 - "In Him, we live, move and have our being." Those of us that are called into the ministry of dance would rather use our bodies as instruments of praise and righteousness than yield them to sin.
Romans 12:1,2 tells us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, by the mercies of God. And, for many of us in the dance ministry, a transformation takes place in and through us as we dance. We cannot change, he changes us. He does the choreography, gives us direction, and sets us free.

‚ÄčThe Dance Ministry is based on Psalm 103:29
" Praise the Lord you His angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding and obey His Word. "

What Should Happen When We Dance?
We should lead people into Worship. Our Dance should bring liberation to the people of God and to ourselves, and Our Dance garments (dresses, ribbons, etc.) should be representative of the God we serve and testify to His greatness.

The Dance Ministry members do not come to church to "perform," but they are in service to Worship.
