"And they continuing daily with one accord…and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people." "And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul." Acts 3:46; 4:32

This life can be hard to navigate. Sometimes it overwhelms us and we fall. Too often, when this happens, we turn to people, possessions, anything to ease the pain. But what do we find? It’s only a temporary fix.  We find ourselves in the same situation on a different day. Worse, we find that we’ve fallen AWAY from God. But what if, in the middle of our crises, we fall TOWARD God? After all, He has promised to help us, right?! Our small group will explore real answers–God’s answers–to life’s trying times. We are all human. We all fall. Let’s fall in the right direction. Let’s fall toward God. Steps to Christ

Turning Adversity into Opportunity – God used brave women throughout the Bible e.g. Mary, Deborah, Esther, and Abigail, to impact their communities. Down the annuls of history, women like Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, and Ellen G. White; and in the 21st century women such as Aung San Suu Kyi, and Rosa Parks took risks and caused awe-inspiring ‘rippling effects’ throughout the world. Our book, Vital Voices, is a deeply authentic, small group reading that will give women hope, motivation, and guidance to make a difference, ‘for with God, nothing shall be impossible’ (Luke 1:37). We look at both aspects of our faith: doctrine and experience, and we will focus on 13 essential themes of the Christian faith, 13 essential teachings. Each lesson attempts to maintain a careful balance between a correct biblical understanding of these various elements of our faith and how they impact on our daily experience. It's our hope that at the end of the series, we not only will understand these themes better but also have been enriched as far as our Christian experience is concerned. Each lesson is not just about truth but about "the truth as it is in Jesus." Walking the Walk: The Christian Life, Adult SS Quarterly 2 Qtr 2009
