Sanctuary Choir

Mission: The Sanctuary Choir’s mission and purpose is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through diverse musical praise and to invoke the presence of God as we minister to others.  We consider it a joy and privilege to serve, and consider ourselves singing ambassadors of Christ.
The Sanctuary Choir was established in 1993.
The Director, Dr. Eric Conway, is also Director of the world-renowned Morgan State University Choir as well as Chair of the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
Because of his gifted leadership, the Sanctuary Choir possesses a tremendous repertoire of songs from spiritual to gospel to contemporary and takes pride in their versatility.
It is comprised of approximately 50 dedicated members who consider it a privilege to usher the worshippers into the presence of God as they humbly use their gift of singing.
Age ranges – teen to adult
The choir generally sings once a month for Divine Worship and rehearses twice a month, no longer than an hour (one Friday night, one Sabbath after church)
The Rock Glen Nursing Home next door looks forward to our Amazing Grace outreach ministry every 3rd Sabbath @ 2:30.
Joined by other participants of all ages, the highlight of the year is the annual Christmas Cantata with 70+ singers, notable guest soloists, and a full orchestra.
Additional info:
If you have the gift of music, a spirit of service and are interested in being a part of this ministry, you are welcome to join us for rehearsal.  You do not have to be a member of Miracle Temple.
Our Amazing Grace Nursing Home ministry is open to singers and non-singers as we share a Word from the Lord, and sing hymns and familiar songs with the residents.   We meet in their 2nd floor lunch room from 2:30 to 3:10.  Please join us.
Besides being a small-group ministry, the choir fellowships several times through the year.
